Impossible is Nothing

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explora the power they have to change it. impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.

Words in my head

Floating adrift in my dreams
the siren song calls to me
hauntingly beautiful it sounds
leading me to my death

Not Listening

Haha! I'm in gp class. Obviously i'm not paying attention. Naj's beside me. She's not listening either. The only thing i'm hearing is her blowing her nose. Quite unhygenic, don't u think? Priya's opposite. Tuning in and out. Ms Goh's talking abt globalisation. Not my cup of tea. And she's coughing, which is very irritating. Ugh. K,k,k,k,k,k,k. Haha!

Charlie and the chocolate factory

I've been reading Roald Dahl's books lately. Right now it's James and the giant peach. I know i'm too old for that but i didn't grow up reading his books. I read lots of Goosebumps instead and a fair bit of Babysitters club and Archie comics. So, basically, i'm making up for lost childhood. Anyway, i've been trying to find the book Charlie and the chocolate factory. The movie's hitting our shores on the 5th of Aug if i'm not mistaken. Johnny Depp is Willy Wonka. Can't wait to watch it! I wish it was Watts and the Chocolate factory instead. Haha! Wishful thinking. Damn, now i need chocolate. Oh well.

Racial harmony my ass!

By my friend,P. She writes: "Let us be realistic. Racial tension exists amongst us. To pretend otherwise would be imbecile. I learnt that young. Those like me would have probably guess that I'm of an Indian/Malay origin(I'm not telling). Stereotypically, I'm supposed to have oily hair, weird beliefs and an utterly indistinguishable accent. Nevermind that none of the above applies. Children have been forewarned. Stay away from the darker skin. Such prejudice has been inbred into the majority. I'm not claiming purity, they are. They're claiming to be superior with being the majority, their only justification. This nation is theirs. Nevermind that the Malays are indigneous to Singapore. This nation belongs to them. We are merely overstayers. Who can blame them for being irked? We are afterall overstaying our hospitality!"

the verve

Cause it's a bittersweet symphony, this life
Try to make ends meet
Your a slave to money then you die
I'll take you down the only road I've ever been down
You know the one that takes you to the placeswhere all the things meet yeah
No change, I can't changeI can't change, I can't change
But I'm here in my mold
I am here in my mold
But I'm a million different peoplefrom one day to the next
I can't change my mold
No, no, no, no, no

first time

moody day.
